Hi Folks,
I thought I saw movement in my pleco cave in the 80 gallon tank today.

I removed the cave with papa ABNP and flushed it gently with some water from the tank:

These young plecos are from the post of the eggs in the tumber:

Here is a close up of just one:

I think Papa ABNP liked being on TV he has been releasing young plecos from the cave monthy.

Sometimes the cave get crowded:

I guess you are the plecoe king now Mike LOL, I have some in a breeder hang on box with tank water flowing through it, they seem to be doing ok, discovered them in a tank I was shutting down to do a cleaning on. I'll try and put up a picture later today.

I take the cave out of the tank as soon as I see the wigglers.
I scoop up a liter of the water from the tank the cave was in.
pour the water into the cave to flush out the wigglers

Put the wigglers into grow out tanks and do daily 50% aged water exchange.
I use a piece of clear 1/4 inch tubing and siphon the water into a large white plastic pouring bowl.
I keep it close the the bottom of the tanks and suck up the detritus/crap in the process I normally suck up a few of the fri.
I put them in other grow out tanks.

As it happened I had 3 hatches in one week so there were lots of fri, well over 100.
I've lost about 20 of the so far

I would love to try my luck with them but they are out of my price range.

Will provide free home to unwanted plecos<VBG>
Now that you've got that down pat, time to move on to Hypancistrus! :p

ooooh mikebike that tank is beautifully aquascaped, love how the plecos are all sitting around just chilling. My little female was moved to a new tank a few weeks ago, and she's just started acting like her old self, coming out and sitting around sometimes, not hiding all the time the lights are on. do you think that's because the plants have grown in? i'd love to see a shot of the whole tank so I could try to duplicate it :)
