I am interested in changing my tank from an apistogramma tank to a larger cichlid tank. The ones I like so far are blue acaras and severums.
My reasons for this are that although I know full well the risk to all the smaller fish in the tank (many are being moved for this reason) I would like to keep to a slightly less aggressive cichlid. I also love to colours in both species (although very different). Any info would be helpful and here are a few questions:
Can a severum be in an aquarium with another severum?
What about the blue acara?
Would my tiger panaque be an appropriate tank mate?
Is silica sand an appropriate substrate?
Thank you!!
