Hi, the arapaima are arriving at around 5-7 inches. You can keep them in a 33 gallon tank for now, but you should be prepared to move them to a much larger tank or into a pond as they will become absolutely gargantuan haha.

Also, I edited the original post to highlight that we are also receiving a special kind of Mono Peacock Bass which we are highly anticipating. Thanks again guys for all of the interest, kind words, and support.

I will keep you guys posted as I receive new updates in the following days.

Happy Fishing!

Where are you importing your koi from? Will they go through any quarantine period before you put them up for sale?

Is it possible for you to post, or send a price list?

The Underwater Collection's Quarantine Process

The purpose of this process is to ensure our customers can rest assured that every precaution has been taken to minimize the possibility of transferring any type of disease, infection or parasite from our stock of Koi to their own collection. We do this by:

1. Isolating new fish from current stock for a minimum of 3 weeks.

2. Inspector will arrive within 48 hours of obtaining the fish and will perform an initial inspection to ensure that the fishes are in a stress-free environment with clean water and space to swim freely.

3. Inspecting each fish for any signs of infection or injury either from physical or parasitic infestation.

4. If any type of disease, infection or parasite is detected before or during this isolation period the affect Koi are promptly separated to an isolated area for dealing with the problem in another quarantine tank usually between 50-150 gallons to allow the affected Koi to be treated individually.

5. Fish that display signs of stress and/or split fins are treated with natural remedies such as melafix for three days or until signs of stress and/or split fins subside.

6. The isolation period of the unaffected Koi is extended until all Koi are healthy for a minimum of 3 weeks.

7. After a minimum of three weeks, the fish will once again be inspected by our ichthyologist and once they have passed the inspection, they will be ready for sale.

8. Equipment is strictly isolated from each area including nets, test equipment and dip tanks.

9. Nets are dipped in methelene blue to sterilize them between uses.

10. Temperature of the water is maintained at 20 degrees Celsius to keep the immune system of the Koi at maximum performance.

11. Beginning to feed after 24 hours or when fish will readily accept food to keep fish nourished.

We are committed to bringing you beautiful, healthy Koi.

Hey everyone,

The Peruvian shipment will be arriving -edit- Monday* instead of today due to the heat waves in Toronto prohibiting live animals being sent through Air Canada. We are arranging the shipment through another airlines so please hang tight! Will keep you all updated on the status of the order :)
