Hi there,

I'm Ryan, I've been involved with the aquarium community for 10 years, but for the last couple of years I've been out of it. Moving often and working out of town didn't lend itself to successful fish keeping! I live in Fort St. John now, 1500 km north of Vancouver.

My main areas of interest were with oddballs, tank busters and predatory fish, and a few years ago I had a 250, 150, 90, 65, 40, 33 and a few 20 gallon tanks up with a lot of different kinds of fish. I've done mostly everything the tried and true way of learning from my mistakes, and losing a lot of money along the way, but loving every minute of it.

My favourite fish were my peacock bass, my black arowana, and my gars, but its a tough choice, there really are a ton of amazing fish out there. I'm currently trying to get back in the hobby, albeit on a much smaller scale, and the only tank I have set up right now is my 65 gallon breeder tank (36"x18" footprint) with a mayan cichlid and an un-ID'd pleco.

So yah I guess thats about it, its good to be back again!

Ryan
