I've recently purchased a 46Gal. Bowfront tank of a guy on craigslist. He used to have a Marine tank and i want to do freshwater
It still has some of the sand in the base but that's easy to clean out.


Do i have to sterilize this tank or will just wiping it down suffice?

i'd give it at least a wash..and fill the tank to make sure theres no leaks ...

anything saltwater for diseases would die in fresh water i would just wash it off get rid of the salt build up and filler up and see if she holds

ok i can un-cross my fingers now, the tank filled fully and no leaks. also the stand seems very stable
