Hi there,

So I recently acquired a small tank that I am planning on turning into a shrimp tank. This aquarium isn't going to be heated, so I am just wondering if besides ghost shrimp, there are any other shrimp suitable for a tank kept at room temperature?

Thanks!

I've done cherries and crystals at room temperature... I guess it really depends how warm your room is going to be.....

yeah cherries will do fine at room temp. I kept a few in a jar for like 6-8 months before transferring them back to the main tank. Amano shrimp will be ok too.

just make sure you dont leave the room window open at night by mistake or something cause a tempurature swing will most likely kill your shrimpies:(

I've kept both cherries and ghost shrimp in a jar without a heater before as well. They should be fine as long as your room doesn't get too cold.
