For those wanting to rehome livestock and other stuff to members without the worries that persons only intention is to sell it...this thread is for you.
There is a person getting free fish and other stuff from our members and turning around and selling it on Craigslist. I have banned atleast a couple dozen names this person has made since I was made aware of his pathetic ways.
I can only do so much to stop him so I thought I would provide some tips to avoid this happening to you.
First off the persons username is going to be fairly new with very few post. Check to see their join date and how many post they have. If it's a new name with few post, contact me and I will check them out the best I can.
I am not out to stop new members from getting free items, my goal is to stop the one lowlife in Surrey from taking advantage of peoples generosity.
The only info I can give you about him is he lives in Surrey and his number is ***-**6-6261. That should be enough of the phone number to let you know it's him. If you want the whole number you can get it off his CL ads. Im going to make this a sticky and leave it open so if anyone has any input or new info about him of links to his sale ads you can post it here

He recently had a fish for sale on CL that he got free from a member the the following day which was flagged

He also had an ad which is a scam for him to get stuff to sell. But it had been removed thanks to people flagging it..thanks to those who did.
Im sure he will start another and it will be titled something like "WANTED: Any free Fishtanks or supplies and Fish" claiming he will provide everything good home.
So if you see it....please flag it. And please flag the barracuda sale ad he has as well.

Anyway I wanted to give a heads up about this bottom feeder. Feel free to contact me it you suspect a username is him as I will gladly spend as much time as it takes to keep this idiot out of our community.

Also I should mention I banned the "Silly" name but he made up another yesterday that I have not banned yet that name is BCA Rodney

Message to the idiot: I know you think your slick but you have probably figured out you cant outsmart me and now should be much harder for you with the communities help. Best for you to just go away for good because you will never be welcome at BCAquaria!! You also should be leery about selling stuff on CL , never know who is going to show up at your door. For your sake I hope it isn't one of the members you took advantage of lol

SO I had removed the new name til I could get positive conformation it was him. I confirmed it today and added it back to the first post. Again, not a member you want to deal with as he is not even welcome here to begin with. But only so much we can do to keep him away.

lol alrighty then. SO the latest name was banned, and not surprisingly he made a new name the next day. Guess he thinks he's the first to try and throw us off with the "unusual" name change lol he's not

My pleasure! Unfortunately as I suspected I would if I did this, I have temporarily lost track of him after announcing the Daisy name since he it using it and started a new name or two. Best advice I can give now is make a record of his phone number and he lives in Surrey. If you come across anyone with those 2 credentials please and let me know.

He has a post on craigslist in general category,"WHOLESALE PRICE AQUARIUM / FISHTANK : WHITE - TAN SAND / STORE BOUGHT DRIFTWOOD - $1 (Surrey) "
If you see his contact info in the post it is his phone number. Don't know if he got these driftwoods from other BCA members or people off craigslist.

ITS PAYBACK TIME,

Sent him an email, saying how much he can get without saying that I know he got that fish for free. Snakeheads aren't that rare as he advertised. There's some of them in trout lake. I basically shoved the fact into his face that he missed advertised and basically stole from other members of this community who entrusted him to TAKE CARE of the fish and staycommitted to it. I wanted to see if he'd actually want to sell it to me. If he did, I would just ignore that email because a person like that does not deserve my respect and money.

Thanks for the post, I'd never know about it until I saw this. Sorry if you guys disagreed with what I did, I just won't tolerate people like that.

I just got his reply now. He was very upset. To be honest, he deserved it. He massage was prodly flagged, and hopefully he'll be more mindful before taking things

I do applaud your desire to ferret out any "bad apples" operating in our fish hobby world. But, to be honest, the wording of your inquiry obviously tipped him off that you were testing him. Generally, Sellers - either legitimate OR shady - likely would not appreciate that approach. (So I am not really too surprised by his response.)

If you had worded your inquiry will a little more finesse, you may have received a more useful reply. As it played out, it looks like you both swapped insult for insult.
