Rigid brand 6 gallon wet/dry vaccuums are on sale at home depot for $39.99 and comes with a bonus car attachment.
Regular price is $59.99 or something like that without the car attachment.

I picked one up today to clean up messy spills :)

Shopvacs are great, I've been using mine to drain the water from my sump when necessary for when I was testing it out during my build.....which I'll have to do one more time unfortunately. :(

well, anything that can suck up water can be used to drain the sump. i just use it to drain the sump when i need to service it. ie. remove it from under the stand. I have a 10 gallon and even then I have to empty the shopvac a couple of times before my sump is empty. Very handy.
