Okay this sounds a little weird but here it goes.
I've been in and out of the aquarium industry since 1998, mostly just for fun since there's little money to be made in it. A couple of years ago I gave some considerable consideration to becoming a North American distributor for the world's best rimless aquariums (they wouldn't confirm who they sold to but did mention that they sold to a Japanese wholesaler who's very famous for his tanks). I spent months in talks with them, but opted out because I didn't have the money to do it justice. If a person had deep pockets (which I don't) they could do very well with them if they chose to be a distributor. The tanks are actually very inexpensive for what you're getting, the OPTIWHITE tanks are much cheaper than ADA and the green glass is of better quality and probably cheaper than Mr. Aqua. There is a large company in the U.S. marketing them under their own brand name and doing well with it. I'd like to share the info with somebody, preferably in the industry who can sell these on a wholesale level- all I ask for in exchange is a few fish to start off my breeding program. (cardinals, neons, rams, rummynose etc.)
Please contact me if you're interested.
